Non-invasive neurosurgical planning with Random Matrix Theory MRI

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Brain Tumor Patients
  • Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 99 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    Inclusion criteria for healthy volunteers
    1. Able and willing to provide informed consent
    2. Documentation of MR-safe implant
    3. In general good health, with no serious or unstable medical conditions
    4. All genders
    5. No contraindications to MRI scanning (pacemaker, implanted metallic objects, severe obesity or difficulty in laying in a supine position or any other condition that leads to difficulty in laying in the magnet, claustrophobia)
    Inclusion criteria for patients
    1. Adults who were diagnosed with a brain tumor within 2 cm of eloquent regions that obtained a clinical preoperative brain scan (3T) at NYULH between from 8/2019 and 8/2021
    2. Documentation of MR-safe implant
    3. Age of 18-99 years
    4. All genders

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. Contraindications with MRI (e.g. pacemakers or ferromagnetic material near vital structures, etc.)
    2. All documented implants will be reviewed by the clinical MR technicians on staff.
    3. Pregnant women are not eligible for participating in this study
