You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Scaphoid Nonunion

Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 89 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- All subjects have the necessary mental capacity to participate in study and comply with study protocol.
- The subject understands the risks and benefits associated with surgical fixation of scaphoid nonunion and is both willing and able to provide informed consent.
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Underlying disease known to affect bony healing including osteoporosis, osteomalacia, malnutrition, hyperparathyroidism, hyperthyroidism, type I diabetes mellitus, Cushing’s disease, renal osteodystrophy, Paget’s disease, osteopetrosis, corticosteroid dependence, bisphosphonate usage, rheumatoid arthritis and connective tissue disorders.
- Concurrent pathology of the affected wrist including fracture, soft tissue damage, or degenerative changes.
- Fracture of the proximal pole of the scaphoid.
- Active infection in the affected extremity.
- Damage to contralateral wrist preventing comparison of range of motion and grip strength in the affected side to the healthy side.
