A single-center observational longitudinal study to monitor skeletal muscle aging with quantitative MRI

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Sarcopenia/pre-frailty

Age: Between 70 Year(s) - 150 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Able to complete an MR scan without sedation.
- Able to sign consent form.
- Willingness and ability to participate in all procedures of the study (MRI + strength measurements + functional assessment + wearables).
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Diagnosis of diabetes.
- Current hormonal supplementation (such as estrogen and testosterone).
- Use of corticosteroids in the past two years.
- Clinical diagnosis of cancer.
- Clinical diagnosis of osteoarthritis in the hip, knee, and/or shoulder joints.
- Standard contraindications to MRI: tattoos with metallic ink that are positioned inside the RF coil, pacemaker, cerebral aneurysm clip, cochlear implant, presence of shrapnel in strategic locations, metal in the eye, claustrophobia, presence of electronic devices or ferromagnetic metallic foreign or implanted object that could constitute a hazard or any other contraindications to MRI.
