You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Lupus
• Age: Between 12 Year(s) - 75 Year(s)
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  • Currently active or past history of LN within 5 yrs or onset SLE within 5 yrs and no renal disease .
  • Agree to have a renal biopsy if medically indicated and to have unused renal biopsy tissue donated as part of research.
  • Agree to provide a biopsy of nonlesional skin from the buttocks, but if refused this will not constitute an exclusion criterion.
  • Willing and able to provide informed consent.

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• • SLE for less than 5 years without LN.
  • Chronic kidney disease stage 4 or 5.
