Helmsley 3.0: Abbreviated MRE
Brief description of study
The main reason for this research study is to compare a shortened, research MRI of the bowel, or MR enterography (MRE) with that of the clinical MREs that we perform on patients diagonosed with Crohn’s disease (CD) here at NYU Langone Health. Magnetic Resonance Enterograpy(MRE) is an imaging technique that provides accurate and noninvasive diagnostic evaluation of the small bowel, which is commonly affected by Crohn’s disesase. This procedure is completed in order to diagnose and detect inflammation, assess the severity of the disease and identify the abnormal narrowing and penetrating complications of the intestine. We are conducting this research study to assess how the shortened MRI compares to the clinical MRI that is performed for your standard of care.
