Children Caregivers and Community: Together Growing Strong Family Trajectory Study

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Child School Readiness
  • Age: Between 0 Year(s) - 99 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
      In order to be eligible to participate in the longitudinal study, prenatal women must meet all of the following criteria:
    1. Mother is at least 17 years of age
    2. Mother can be contacted (e.g., has a working phone)
    3. Mother is <18 weeks gestation
    4. Family lives in or receives services in the Sunset Park neighborhood
    5. There will be no additional inclusion criteria for children, who will be enrolled after birth
      In order to be eligible to participate in the cross-sectional study, an individual must meet all of the following criteria:
    1. Primary caregiver is at least 17 years of age
    2. Child is within age range of one assessment point: 2 years old, 4 years old, or 6 years old
    3. Family lives in or receives services in the Sunset Park neighborhood

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. An individual who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in both the longitudinal and cross-sectional studies:
    2. Non-singleton pregnancy or birth (twin, triplet, etc.)
    3. Mother/primary caregiver unable to provide consent
    4. Mother/primary caregiver does not speak English, Spanish, or Chinese
    5. Mother/primary caregiver has significant impairment that will be a barrier to communication and participation (e.g., intellectual disability, schizophrenia)
      For the longitudinal study, there will be one additional exclusion criteria:
    1. Mother/primary caregiver plans to leave neighborhood
