IMPact on Revascularization Outcomes of intraVascular ultrasound guided treatment of complex lesions and Economic impact (IMPROVE)

Brief description of study

The study is being done to evaluate the impact of treating complex blockages in the coronary arteries of subjects undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with the imaging guidance of Intravascular Ultrasound (called IVUS, which is an imaging method that uses ultrasonic waves to see your vessel wall from the inside of the artery). The study will assess whether the use of IVUS improves subjects' clinical outcomes at 1 year following this PCI procedure. These subjects will be compared to subjects who did not undergo such IVUS imaging guidance during their PCI procedures.
