Acceptability and Feasibility of Recruiting Pregnant Women into a Cohort for Understanding Effects of Vaping Nicotine and Cannabis on Maternal/Fetal Outcomes

The prevalence vaping nicotine and/or cannabis during pregnancy is rapidly increasing, especially during the first trimester, when women vape to alleviate morning sickness or attempt to quit combustible cigarettes. Despite this increasing prevalence, there has been limited longitudinal human subject participants research studying the impacts of vaping/cannabis use on maternal and fetal outcomes.
