Brief description of study

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a complex and debilitating disease that significantly affects people’s lives. The most common forms of IBD are Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Both cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to fibrosis (an excessive buildup of scar tissue in the intestinal wall). There are many approved treatments for IBD. But unfortunately, they don’t always work for everyone. Which is why we’re conducting a program of clinical studies to see if an investigational medicine that targets not only inflammation, but also fibrosis, could improve the symptoms and quality of life of people living with IBD.
