A Study of INFUSE Bone Graft (recombinant human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2/absorbable collagen sponge) in the treatment of Tibial Pseudarthrosis in Neurofibromatosis 1 (NF1)
Brief description of study
If you or your child has been diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and have undergone surgical management of tibial pseudoarthrosis, you or your child may be qualified to participate in a clinical trial. The main goal of this phase II study is to determine whether at the time of surgical repair of tibial pseudarthrosis, the addition of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2), (a collagen sponge device) will result in improved bone healing. In addition, this study will document the safety of BMP-2 in a pediatric NF1 population.
