Women Choosing Surgical Prevention

Brief description of study

If you have received genetic testing that has indicated you have a higher risk of ovarian cancer or have been diagnosed with Hereditary Breast an Ovarian Syndrome , you may qualify to participate in a clinical trial examining the changes of sexual function by comparing two strategies:  the interval salpingectomy and delayed oophorectomy (ISDO) and the risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO).  The main goal of this study is to determine the onset and severity of menopausal symptoms experienced through comparison of these two strategies.  This study will also evaluate how your view on life has been affected by the predisposition, with ISDO and RRSO.
