Air Quality Child and Adult Health in Homes Where Hookahs are Smoked

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to investigate changes in the surrounding air in the homes of hookah users and compare the air quality to that in homes where no smoking occurs. This study is looking to enroll adults between the ages of 21 and 45 or the parent of child aged 10-18 who may take part in this study. This study will measure effects on the heart and lungs from smoking hookah and being exposed to secondhand hookah smoke. This will be accomplished by collecting the air quality in your home, measuring your heart and lung functions,obtaining samples of urine, saliva, nasal samples, and blood.
