A Prospective Multicenter Open-label Randomized Controlled Trial of Agili-C vs. Surgical Standard of Care (SSOC) for the Treatment of Joint Surface Lesions of the Knee

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness and safety of Agili-C implant to Surgical Standard of Care (SSOC) treatment in patients suffering from joint surface lesions of the knee. Agili-C is an implant that is placed into the defect in your knee. Agili-C is made from coral and has a structure that is similar to bone. In order to properly place Agili-C into your knee, your doctor will need to make a cut in your knee that is large enough to fit the surgical instruments and implant. We are looking to enroll patients who have joint surface lesions of the knee and your doctor has recommended surgery as a potential treatment option. You will be randomized into either the Agili-C implant group or the Surgical Standard of Care Microfracture and/or Debridement.
