Enhancing Participation of Under-represented Minorities in Clinical Trials Using a Patient-Centered Website: A Community-Engaged Approach (EMPaCT)

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to understand barriers pertaining to why blacks are reluctant to participate in clinical trials, assess their willingness to enroll in clinical trials, and ascertain whether or not you will refer others to participate in such trials. This study is trying to 1)learn about the reasons that prevent people from participating in clinical trials and 2) whether or not educational materials will help you/others participate in clinical trials. The study will have a total of 100 participants. Participation in the study will last for 3 months and will include 3 data collection points: baseline, 1 months,and at 3 months.
