Neurobiology of Sensory Phenomena in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Obsessive-compulsive Disorder

Age: Between 18 years - 60 years

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Medically healthy (self report)
- Fluent (speaking and writing) in English Additional criteria for HC:
- Additional criteria for HC: (1) lifetime absence of major Axis I diagnosis according to DSM-5 criteria; (2) not taking psychotropic medications (3) no first-degree relatives with OCD
- Additional criteria for SIB: (1) first-degree biological sibling of a person with OCD Additional criteria for OCD patients: (1) diagnosis of OCD according to DSM-5 criteria.
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Current moderate or high suicidality as assessed through the MINI 7.0.2 suicidality module
- MRI contraindications such as claustrophobia, ferrous implants, braces, or pacemakers
- Neurological or major medical illness (e.g., self-reported history of organic mental syndromes, head trauma, migraines, seizures, other CNS disease, or other significant medical illness that would make participation unsafe or unfeasible)
- Positive urine toxicology or pregnancy test
- Present or previous diagnosis of psychosis, bipolar disorder, or major developmental disorder (autism spectrum disorder, intellectual developmental disorder) based on DSM-5 criteria.
