An Observational Single Center Study of the Correlates of Behavior and Anthropometric Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Disease in Asian American Women

Brief description of study

This study will be conducted to explore the associations of stress, discrimination, and social support with actigraph-based lifestyle risk behaviors and anthropometric cardiovascular disease risk markers in Asian American women. 80 women will be recruited who are American immigrants from China, Philippines, South Asia, and South Korea (N=20 for each). Subjects will answer behavior and demographic questionnaires and have anthropometric measurements taken, and will have their sleep and activity monitored for one week.
