THE NEW YORK MOVEMENT DISORDER (NYMD) STUDY

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Parkinson's Disease And Movement Disorders
Age: Between 18 years - 99 years
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Ability of the patient, legal guardian (for patients between the age of 2 and 17 years old), or primary caregiver (in case of incapacitated adults) to understand the purpose and risks of the study and provide signed and dated informed consent and authorization to use protected health information (PHI) in accordance with national and local subject privacy regulations.
2. Diagnosis of a movement or related disorder (i.e., akinetic-rigid syndrome/Parkinsonism, hyperkinetic syndrome/chorea, dystonia, essential tremor, tics, or complex movement disorder) by a movement disorder specialist.
3. Healthy volunteers (18 years or older) without movement disorder to serve as a comparison group.

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Determination by the PI that the subject would be unable to complete the study protocol for any reason.
