Relative Motion Splint Use for Flexor Tendon Repair Rehabilitation compared to a Dorsal Blocking Splint

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Injury Of Long Flexor Muscle And Tendon Of Other Finger(s) At Forearm Level

Age: Between 18 years - 65 years

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Subjects who are at least 18 years of age
- Subjects must have full laceration of the superficialis and/or profundus flexor tendons in one or two adjacent fingers in zone 1, 2 or 3
- Subjects who require strong flexor tendon repairs
- Subjects who speak English proficiently
- Subjects must agree to perform all therapy with NYULOC Certified Hand Therapists
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Subjects that requires repair of a digital nerve, artery and/or A2 pulley
- Subjects who have accompanied complications such as infection that may delay healing
- Subjects who have flexor tendon injuries of the thumb
- Subjects who have more than 2 fingers that require a repair of lacerated flexor tendons
