Correlation of PROMIS Physical Function Upper Extremity Computer Adaptive Test with American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons shoulder assessment form and Constant Murley in patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study to compare the effectiveness of PROMIS Physical Function Upper Extremity Computer Adaptive Test( CAT), which is a computerized test that was created by the NIH as a measurement of disability in patients with various disorders of the upper extremity. The study will compare the effectiveness of PROMIS PFUE CAT as a patient reported outcome instrument in a patient population diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder with 2 conventional patient reported outcome surveys such as American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon score and Constant Murley shoulder score. Patient reported outcomes are reports of the status of a patient's health condition that comes directly from the patient, without interpretation of the patient's response by a clinician or anyone else. Adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder is a condition where the shoulder becomes painful due to inflammation. Understanding the PROMIS PFUE CAT effectiveness will allow physicians and patients to better assess patient disability and treatment satisfaction.
