Evaluation of retinal vascular peripapillary and choroidal features in hypercapnic states
Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to evaluate changes affecting the retina and vision of people who have increased carbon dioxide levels in their body (hypercapnia) in comparison to people who do not have hypercapnia. Hypercapnia may cause shortness of breath or drowsiness or no symptoms at all. The retina is the light-sensitive area at the back of the eye that is involved in our ability to see. Some people with hypercapnia experience changes in their vision, but not enough is known about why this happens. The study will see if there is an association between hypercapnia and future changes in vision.
