HOPE in Action Prospective Multicenter Clinical Trial of HIV+ Deceased Donor Kidney Transplants for HIV+ Recipients

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to learn whether organ transplantation from HIV-positive deceased donors is as safe and effective in HIV-positive recipients as transplants from HIV-negative deceased donors. In this research study, the study doctors will find out if it is safe to receive an HIV-positive organ and if HIV-positive patients who receive an HIV-positive organ do as well as HIV-positive patients who receive an HIV-negative organ.
