Relationship between the ocular microbiome and pseudoexfoliation syndrome/glaucoma and cataracts

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Cataract
Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome
Age: Between 30 Year(s) - 90 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Subjects who are diagnosed with pseudoexfoliation syndrome and cataract by an ophthalmologist (PEXS + Cataract Group)
2. Subjects who are diagnosed with cataract by an ophthalmologist (Cataract Group)
3. Subjects who are Healthy controls, confirmed by an ophthalmologist (Healthy Control Group)
4. Subjects who are able and agrees to undergo colonoscopy procedure
5. Subjects who are at least 30 years old and older

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Subjects with history of diabetes.
2. Subjects with history of cancer
3. Subjects with history of chemotherapy
4. Subjects with history of radiation therapy
5. Subjects with history of immune diseases
6. Subjects who are taking immune suppressors / immune modulators
7. Subjects who have received antibiotics in the last 4 months
