Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Glaucoma
• Age: Between 18 years - 85 years
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1. Subjects who are at least 21 years old
  2. Subjects who were defined clinically as glaucoma or non-glaucomatous optic neuropathies
  3. Subjects who are without evidence of glaucomatous or non-glaucomatous optic nerve disease (Healthy controls)
  4. Subjects who are able to read (or have read to him or her), understand, and sign the Informed Consent form

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1. Subjects with presence of any foreign metal in the body with the exception of dental fillings will need to be prescreened by radiology prior to signing the informed consent and enrollment
  2. Subjects who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  3. Subjects with any medical condition that would interfere with the ability to lie supine in the MRI scanner or to perform the limited study tasks in the MRI scanner
  4. Subjects with implanted electrical medical devices such as pacemakers
  5. Subjects with implanted metallic or ferromagnetic objects
  6. Subjects who have any ocular pathology or neurological diseases other than glaucoma or non-glaucomatous optic neuropathies, with the exception of cataract with visual acuity better than 20/60 (with correction)
  7. Subjects with presence of any media opacities that hinders clinical view of the fundus.
  8. Subjects with noticeable anxiety and claustrophobia that would prevent functional neuroimaging
  9. Subjects with obesity preventing placement in MRI scanner
  10. All healthy control subjects must not have any known neurological disorders or any medical condition that can possibly lead to emergency medical care
