Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) for the Management of Multiple Sclerosis Related Fatigue

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine if tDCS (short for transcranial direct current stimulation) can be used to manage the MS symptoms of fatigue or tiredness. Many people with MS have fatigue that can affect their daily lives. tDCS may benefit those who have MS-related fatigue through the use of a small handheld device that delivers a mild electrical current through the brain to improve its activity. This study will measure the level of fatigue via questionnaires throughout the study to determine whether the stimulation is improving feelings of fatigue. The device used to administer tDCS in this study the Soterix 1 x 1 Mini-CT. It is an investigational device because it is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for commercial use. However, it is used in research studies such as this one.
