Measurement of Thrombelastography as an alternative means to guide blood product use before invasive procedures in cirrhosis with severe coagulopathy: An observational study

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Cirrhosis
  • Age: Between 18 - 80 Years
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Subjects who are between the ages of 18 and 80 years old
    2. Subjects with histological or imaging-proven liver cirrhosis of any etiology
    3. Subjects with must be scheduled to undergo an invasive procedure in either the interventional radiology or surgical departments

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. Subjects who have ongoing bleeding
    2. Subjects with previous or current thrombotic events defined as any documented blood clot in a venous or arterial vessel
    3. Subjects with antiplatelet or -coagulant therapy at the time of enrollment or that had been discontinued less than 7 days before evaluation for the study
    4. Subjects with presence of documented infection or sepsis, or hemodialysis in the previous 7 days
