Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Diverticulitis
• Age: Between 18 years - 110 years
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  Surgical Cohort – to be eligible for the surgical cohort of DEBUT

  1. Subjects provide a signed and dated informed consent document
  2. Subjects are at least 18 years old
  3. Subjects who plan to see, or have recently seen a surgeon at a participating clinic for a surgical consult for treatment of diverticulitis
  4. Subject who are able to speak English in order to take surveys

  Non-Surgical Cohort – to be eligible for the non-surgical cohort of DEBUT

  1. Subjects provide a signed and dated informed consent document
  2. Subjects are at least 18 years old
  3. Subjects who have a CT scan report indicating a diagnosis of diverticulitis
  4. Subject who are able to speak English in order to take surveys

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• Surgical Cohort – Patients who have any of the following are not eligible for the surgical cohort

  1. Subjects who have had prior colon surgery
  2. Subjects who uses a medical proxy for decisions about care

  Non-Surgical Cohort – Patients who have any of the following are not eligible for the non-surgical cohort

  1. Subjects who have had prior colon surgery
