ADAPTATION TO FREQUENCY-PLACE FUNCTIONS IN COCHLEAR IMPLANT USERS

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Hearing Impaired
Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 90 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Subjects who are at least 18 years old
2. Subjects must be post-lingually hearing impaired adults implanted unilaterally with a cochlear implant (CI)
3. Subjects have no diagnosis of any other communicative or cognitive disorder
4. For the longitudinal portion of Experiment 3, subjects must be recently implanted CI users (< 1 year).
5. Subjects must have at least one year of experience using their CI device.
6. For experiments 3 and 4, participants must have normal, or near-normal, hearing in their unimplanted ear (i.e. CI-SSD).

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Subjects who do not meet the inclusion criteria
2. Subjects who are younger than 18 years old
