Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Knee Osteoarthritis
• Age: Between 18 years - 100 years
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1. Subjects who are at least 30 years old.
  2. Subjects able and willing to provide informed consent.
  3. Subjects with body mass index (BMI) =30.
  4. Subjects with pain in at least one knee defined by visual analog scale (VAS) =30 mm (on 0-100mm scale) for more than 1 month duration for at least half of the days.

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1. Subjects unable to provide informed consent
  2. Subjects who are younger than 30 years old
  3. Subjects with BMI <30
  4. Subjects with VAS <30
  5. Subjects with bilateral total knee replacement
  6. Subjects who had history of inflammatory arthritis (Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis), Gout, Lupus, Sjogren's
  7. Subjects with history of connective tissue diseases
  8. Subjects with history of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection
  9. Subjects with history of previous sleeve gastrectomy or Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYBG) surgery
  10. Subjects taking any immunosuppressive medications
  11. Subjects who received treatment for any malignancies within the past year
  12. Subjects unable or unwilling to attend post-op visits in Manhattan
