Retinal abnormalities as biomarker of disease progression and early diagnosis of Parkinson disease

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Parkinson's Disease
  • Age: Between 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Subjects with Parkinson disease (PD), multiple system atrophy (MSA) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) that fulfill current diagnostic criteria
    2. Subjects with RBD that have polysomnography-confirmed diagnosis showing evidence of lack of muscle atonia and dream enacting behaviors during REM sleep
    3. Subjects with isolated autonomic failure that have evidence of neurogenic orthostatic hypotension and other features of autonomic failure without clinical evidence of cognitive impairment.
    4. Control subjects with no history of neurological or ophthalmological disorders

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. Subjects with glaucoma, retinopathy, or significant media opacification
    2. Subjects with a history of eye surgery or eye trauma
    3. Subjects unable to comply with the requirements of the study
