SWIFT TRIAL: SURGICAL WEIGHT-LOSS TO IMPROVE FUNCTIONAL STATUS TRAJECTORIES FOLLOWING TOTAL KNEE ARTHROPLASTY

Brief description of study

We will compare long-term outcomes in the test and control arms of the study. These outcomes will include measures of physical function, mobility, indices of joint function, and a composite summary score combining the aforementioned joint outcomes 1 and 2 years compared between extremely obese patients who undergo immediate TKA (Control group) and those with TKA performed after bariatric surgery (Test group).
